
We are seeking a General Assembler to support mailbox production across multiple manufacturing departments. This role performs hands-on assembly work using a variety of hand tools while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Assemblers may be assigned to different product lines based on operational needs. A willingness to learn, become cross-trained, and rotate positions is essential for operational flexibility and growth.
Assemble mailbox components using hand tools such as rivet guns, drills, screwdrivers, mallets, and wrenches
Perform tasks including riveting, joining, installing hinges, trim kits, decals, key tags, rods, arms, and springs
Work on assembly lines in multiple production areas based on staffing and production needs
Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met using visual checks, gauges, or other inspection tools
Meet established production rates while maintaining quality expectations
Participate in cross-training and rotation across job functions as needed
Follow all safety rules, procedures, and ISO requirements
Wear required PPE at all times (steel or composite toe shoes required)
Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and training
Report all injuries, near misses, or safety concerns immediately
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
Follow established processes to minimize scrap and rework
Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members
Assist with training and supporting coworkers
Contribute ideas for process improvements
Promote a respectful, safe, and positive work environment
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Manufacturing, assembly, sheet metal, or machine shop experience preferred but not required
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including prints and routers
Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn new tasks, become cross-trained, and rotate positions
Ability to safely operate hand tools and production equipment
Ability to stand for 10 or more hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance
Frequent repetitive motions, bending, reaching, and handling of parts
Ability to use hand tools, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels
