Samsung SDS America is looking for a hands-on, experienced General Affairs Specialist to launch and run our new office operations in Plano, Texas. As our first GA Specialist on the ground, you will build out our local vendor networks, establish workplace operations, and manage facilities across our sites.
Your immediate priority will be supporting our corporate relocation from New Jersey. You will work closely with HR and IT to make sure employees transferring to Texas have a smooth onboarding experience, while ensuring our day-to-day office infrastructure and IT asset management remain completely uninterrupted.
This is a high-impact position requiring a strategic operator who excels at vendor negotiation, change management, and cross-functional execution in a fast-paced corporate environment.
This role ensures the smooth operation of general affairs functions, maintains compliance with corporate policies, and enhances the employee experience by providing a safe, well-maintained, and efficient work environment. As we continue to grow, the General Affairs Manager will be pivotal in ensuring that our operational frameworks align with industry best practices and company objectives. This role not only involves managing day-to-day affairs but also requires collaborating with various departments to enhance interdepartmental communication and efficiency.

· Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on facility operations, budget utilization, and cost-saving initiatives.
· Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management on office operations, risk management, and workplace improvements.
· Track and analyze vendor performance, employee satisfaction, and workplace efficiency metrics to drive continuous improvement.
· Ensure compliance with corporate governance reporting requirements, including safety audits, risk assessments, and cost reports.
Compliance and Safety
· Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to security and operational protocols.
· Maintain necessary licenses and permits for office activities.
Executive and Travel Support
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred (or an Associate degree with equivalent experience).
· 2+ years of experience running corporate facilities or general affairs.
· Solid experience setting up a new office, managing a large corporate relocation, or handling multi-site operations.
· Experience managing multi-site office operations across different states.
· Clear understanding of corporate IT asset tracking and basic office technology setups.
· Strong negotiation skills and experience managing commercial service contracts.
· Experience working within an international or multinational corporate environment is a plus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction.
· Ability to travel up to 35% within the US.
