Job Opportunity: Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry
Location: North West England
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist. The role focuses on community-based care, with no inpatient responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the MDT in providing high-quality psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients.

• Ensure the delivery of a 24/7 service, providing psychiatric care and support to individuals in crisis within the community.

• Liaise with primary care providers, social services, and other external agencies to coordinate care and support for patients.

• Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) activities, including attendance at relevant conferences, seminars, and training sessions.

• Opportunities are available to become a Clinical or Educational Supervisor, and there is strong support for pursuing special interests or development areas within the Trust.

Qualifications:

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.

• On the GMC Specialist Register, or within 3 months of completion.

• Section 12(2) MHA approval or close to completion.
