The position is part of the local Finance team for the Animal Health entities in the region comprising Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia.
The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring the correct recording, reconciliation, and accounting close of the company’s financial operations, guaranteeing compliance with internal policies and local and international accounting standards. In addition, they will act as a key contact for internal users and the shared services center and will participate in audits as well as in the preparation of information for tax filings.
Key responsibilities
Record recurring and non-recurring accounting entries, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and traceability.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including the preparation of working papers, variance analysis, and recording of accounting adjustments.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable local standards.
Coordinate and provide support for internal and external audits, including documentation preparation, explanation of balances and adjustments, and follow-up on observations.
Prepare the information required by tax advisors for the determination of income tax/profit tax, transfer pricing analysis, and tax provisions.
Identify and promote opportunities for processing automation and optimization through tools and macros, including the use of artificial intelligence.
Act as a point of reference for other areas of the organization in clarifying transactions, procedures, and controls.
Participate in implementation projects, including system changes.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls associated with accounting processes, contributing to risk mitigation initiatives.
Minimum requirements
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting positions within multinational companies or Big Four audit firms.
Advanced English for oral and written communication with global teams.
Previous SAP experience and IA tools use will be considered an asset.
