The Opportunity:

Lead the General Accounting and Intercompany Reconciliation team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient intercompany settlements.

How you´ll made an impact:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the General Accounting and Intercompany Reconciliation team.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for general ledger accounts.

  • Supervise the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

  • Manage the intercompany reconciliation process, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions and intercompany balances.

  • Ensure compliance with local accounting principles (e.g., Mexican GAAP) and IFRS, as applicable.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management as required.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the general accounting and intercompany functions.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in general accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Proven experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes in a multinational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP and IFRS.

  • Proficiency in SAP or an equivalent large-scale ERP system is essential, in addition to hands-on experience with BlackLine Intercompany and Reconciliations.

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
