Job Title General Accountant for Automotive / Industrial Company
We are looking for an experienced General Accountant who possesses a strong understanding of both Italian local GAAP and US GAAP, as well as extensive experience in industrial and automotive accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, reconciling accounting records, and managing end-to-end accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with local (Italian) GAAP and US GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results and compliance with accounting standards.
Reconciliation: - Perform reconciliations of accounting records, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany accounts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.
End-to-End Accounting: - Manage the full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Industrial Accounting: - Apply specialized knowledge of industrial accounting practices to manage costs, inventory, and production accounting.
- Prepare cost analysis reports and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Automotive Industry Accounting: - Utilize experience in automotive industry accounting to handle sector-specific financial processes and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Compliance and Internal Controls: - Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting procedures.
Financial Analysis: - Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management.
Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in general accounting, with a strong focus on industrial and automotive accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of local (Italian) GAAP and US GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
