This position is responsible for reconciliation, reporting, audit and analyzing financial data relating to the
Factory Payables, Finance Chargebacks, Finance Reserves, Floorplan, CIT postings, Revenue Reporting and any other financial account group assigned.
The General Accountant will ensure accuracy in their posting and review other postings to ensure they are in line with the company’s financial reporting procedures.
Duties
• Review, code and post lender funding notices associated with our vehicle sales.
• Review and Analyze Repair Orders and Parts Invoices in unposted status to ensure proper posting within our compliance of financial reporting.
• Review accounting corrections and analyze the proper correction to remain in compliance with our financial reporting requirements.
• Analyze Floorplan accuracy to ensure all models are floored or paid off in the allotted time and request proper corrections from the floorplan team.
• Review, reconcile, purify and analyze the lender finance reserve payments, chargebacks, financial impact and communicate to the dealership team the areas of improvements that will align with their forecasting and budget results.
• Analyze the Floorplan and Loaner Floorplan Statement reconciliations and review that they are in compliance and accordance with our financial reporting requirements.
• Analyze the reconciliation of Retail Delivery Report (RDR) each month end to ensure we are in compliance with the Factory Sales reporting requirements.
• Ensure all Sales recorded are reported in the correct financial statement income line to ensure proper financial reporting requirements.
• Assist in special accounting projects as necessary individually or within a team as requested by your manager.
• Any other duty assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
• Prior Automotive experience desired
• Minimum of 2 years in a staff accounting role
• AS/BA/BS in Accounting required
Hours
• M-F- 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Some Saturdays may be required but notice would be provided in advance
