The Accountant will play an important part in the ability of the organization to realize its financial objectives by effectively and efficiently recording the financial operations of the organization. Key challenges will include regularly maintaining accounting processes and systems for the business requiring the role to have strong knowledge of financial accounting and skills in accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks).
As well as maintaining accurate accounting records, the Accountant will be responsible for compliance to regulatory bodies requirements such as filing and payment of taxes and licenses to BIR, submission of reports and other requirements to SEC, and PEZA, remittances of contributions to SSS, HDMF, PHIC.
Key Responsibilities:
The position will generally execute duties related to finance/accounting functions including but not limited to:
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the companys financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Monitor and implement all accounts payable check activation and wire transactions.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit, and loss statement, and other reports
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Maintains financial security by following internal controls
Other relevant duties that may be assigned
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of work experience as an accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong organizational, commercial, and business awareness, analytical and excellent interpersonal skills
Graduate with BS in Accounting and a licensed CPA
Residing in NCR
Ability to provide clear and concise communication in both written and oral formats (English)
Can work independently or with minimal supervision
Ability to cope with tight deadlines
