Join the Asset Reuse Team (ART) within the AI Center of Excellence at Nationale Nederlanden (NN), where we build, maintain, and scale reusable AI assets, collaborate across business units, and drive strategic innovation. As a GenAI Engineer in ART, you will work in a cross-functional squad to deliver high-quality, production-ready AI components that power the NN AI asset marketplace and enhance customer services and operational efficiency.
What you are going to do
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reusable AI components and solutions that address real business challenges across NN. Your work will span from requirement definition to production deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You will collaborate closely with the ART product manager, tech lead, GenAI engineers, and business stakeholders to translate needs into robust, reusable AI assets.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop scalable AI applications using agentic frameworks (e.g., Langchain, Lang graph)
Bring AI models to production in the form of APIs and integrate them into the NN landscape
Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to define the AI Asset Lifecycle
Set standards on CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and security compliance
Enhance platform performance through latency optimization and caching strategies
Support the team by promoting best practices, conducting code reviews, and maintaining documentation
Translate business requirements into AI solutions and present them to stakeholders
Continuously contribute to innovation initiatives and explore new technologies

You bring the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in software or DevOps engineering and developing ML applications
Strong experience in Python, FastAPI, and asynchronous development
Experience with CI/CD, application security, and performance monitoring
Working knowledge of the data science process including data collection, cleaning, and model implementation
Experience with agentic frameworks for LLMs (Langchain & Langgraph)
Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience in developing automated APIs and cloud solutions using CI/CD tools, Git, and Terraform
Proven ability to independently deliver complex AI end-to-end solutions with direct business impact
You currently reside in the Netherlands

You will be part of the Asset Reuse Team (ART) within the AI Center of Excellence, collaborating with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Data Scientists, and GenAI Engineers. You will also engage with business unit teams and guilds to share knowledge and ensure scalable deployment and reuse of AI assets. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure your solutions are adopted and deliver measurable impact across NN.
