This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a GenAI Engineer in India.

This role focuses on building production-grade Generative AI solutions that enhance internal platforms, workflows, and digital transformation initiatives across engineering and business functions. You will design and implement scalable AI-powered services that integrate large language models with enterprise systems, enabling improvements across the software development lifecycle and internal operational processes. The position involves working within established platform guardrails, leveraging existing SDKs, orchestration frameworks, and cloud-native services rather than building infrastructure from scratch. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and domain stakeholders to translate real business challenges into reliable and observable GenAI workflows. This is a highly hands-on engineering role where you will contribute to agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and AI-driven automation. The environment is fast-evolving, innovation-focused, and deeply integrated with modern cloud and AI technologies.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Python-based GenAI services and workflows integrating large language models with internal platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Develop agentic and multi-step workflows using orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or AgentCore, following established platform patterns.
  • Implement structured outputs, tool-calling mechanisms, and schema-driven APIs to ensure predictable, testable, and scalable AI system behavior.
  • Leverage existing retrieval and RAG abstractions, tuning ranking and search parameters to improve grounding, accuracy, and response quality.
  • Integrate GenAI capabilities into cloud-native environments (AWS/Azure) using serverless patterns, secure configurations, logging, and observability tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX, data, and engineering to translate business requirements into production-ready AI workflows.
  • Ensure operational reliability of AI systems through monitoring, alerting, evaluation frameworks, and continuous performance improvements.
  • Contribute to internal engineering enablement by documenting patterns, playbooks, and reusable components for GenAI adoption across teams.
  • Requirements:

    • 3–7 years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python and production-grade service development.
    • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or GenAI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or Azure AI services.
    • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, system design, and structured output handling including JSON schemas and tool/function calling.
    • Experience building or consuming agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration tools.
    • Familiarity with RAG systems, vector search, and retrieval tuning techniques such as top-k optimization and filtering strategies.
    • Strong software engineering fundamentals including Git, CI/CD, testing, clean code practices, and system debugging.
    • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or Azure), including serverless architectures, secrets management, and observability tools.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with product, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
    • Understanding of responsible AI practices, data security, and enterprise governance principles (RBAC, PII handling).
    • Exposure to building on top of existing platforms and SDKs rather than designing infrastructure from scratch is highly preferred.
    • Familiarity with enterprise workflows such as SDLC or internal automation use cases is a plus.
