Software Developer (Generative AI)

I am seeking a skilled Software Developer with experience in Artificial Intelligence to help develop and improve a Generative AI-based conversational tool. This tool aims to empower government communicators to be more effective and efficient. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology at the heart of government communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine existing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) functionality and system prompting features.
• Work on the design and development of new features such as sentiment analysis, data ingestion, and synthetic audience creation.
• Build and maintain a web API using FastAPI, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Work alongside other Software Developers to organise tasks and deliver work efficiently.
• Contribute to technical decision-making processes and collaborate with the team to ensure informed decisions on application design and testing approaches.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with Generative AI technology, including Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) functionality and related AI concepts.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Strong understanding and implementation of security best practices in AI tooling development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

Additional Information:

• SC Clearance is required.
• This is a fully remote position.
• The contract runs until the end of the tax year, with the potential for extension.
