HERS Advisors is working with a client who is transforming the healthcare experience through responsible AI. They are building cutting-edge chatbot and concierge platforms, as well as intuitive interfaces for our ML models and data products that empower clinicians, staff, and patients. They are seeking a Generative AI Frontend Engineer to bring these experiences to life through elegant, accessible, and performant UIs.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how AI is experienced in healthcare, working closely with our Data Science, Business and Clinical Operations teams.

Experience
Required:3+ years of experience developing front-end applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).

Education
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

Training

• Required:

• Familiarity with design systems, UI frameworks, and accessibility (WCAG/ARIA).
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and front-end/backend integration.
• Experience using version control (e.g., Git) and agile development practices.
• Experience deploying apps using containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred:
· Solid understanding of frontend security and authentication best practices.

• Experience working with machine learning and GenAI models applications (e.g., AWS and Azure AI marketplaces).

Specialized Skills

Required: Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to cross-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders.

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
• Experience integrating with Epic or Cerner platforms.
• Exposure to MLOps, data visualization libraries (e.g., Plotly, D3.js), or analytics tools like Tableau or Streamlit.
• Understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and secure data workflows in healthcare environments.

Job Duties – What We Do

1. Design and develop responsive, user-centric web applications and integrations of machine learning or GenAI tools (e.g., chatbots, AI agents, RAG models, etc.).
2. Create seamless integrations with backend services, APIs, and EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic).
3. Contribute to the architectural decisions that scale and secure our AI frontend experiences.
4. Transform end-user requirements and feedback into concrete, accessible, and functional user interface designs that meet clinical and administrative workflow needs.
5. Participate in code reviews, prototyping, and user testing with clinicians and administrators.
6. Implement telemetry and analytics for user behavior and product performance.
7. Stay up to date with best practices in secure healthcare software development and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)
