Job Description

Lead Gearset & Planetary design for e-Axle transmission projects, including acquisition, customer, and innovation projects, ensuring “ON Spec, ON Time, ON Cost” Evaluate Transmission Endurance & Overload Requirement & develop Cost & Performance optimal solution Own concept to B/C/D Sample design release of gearsets and planetary gear trains for e-Axle transmissions, ensuring durability, NVH, efficiency and package compliance. Lead cross-functional integration for Gearset realization with FEA, Testing, Purchase, Supplier ,Quality and Manufacturing for B & C & D sample Perform Macro-geometry sizing (module, face width, helix, pressure angle) to meet vehicle targets and e-Axle duty cycles. Perform Micro-geometry design & profile optimization (crowning, lead correction) using MASTA/ROMAX/KISSsoft; LTCA and scuffing/pitting checks. Execute Shaft/spline design, fits and tolerances, bearing selection and gearbox stack-up.Planetary Gearset Design Responsibility Architecture selection: single-stage, compound, and double-pinion planetary sets; ratio planning and power flow definition. Perform Macro-geometry calculations for sun/planet/ring (module, teeth numbers, profile shifts) to meet ratio, efficiency and strength targets. Perform Micro-geometry and contact pattern optimization for load sharing across planets, planet phasing strategy and float considerations. Design Carrier (forged/cast) including struts/spiders, pin sizing, retention (press fit/shouldered/snap ring), and stiffness optimization. Design Bearing concepts for planet pins (needle/roller/bronze bush) with L10 life calculations and lubrication paths. Design Ring gear (machined/insert, integral housing ring), spline and bolted interfaces Efficiency modeling, churning loss estimation; lubrication selection (spray/splash/active) and oil flow features. Review and release 3D models and 2D drawings created in NX, ensuring compliance with design standards and Bosch guidelines. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Gearset design guidelines, standards, and best practices. Mentor and guide external designers and ensure delivery targets for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD). Required SkillsTools / Software Skills: KISSsoft MASTA UG-NX TeamcenterTechnical & Soft Skills: Strong know how of Gearset design with gear tribology, LTCA, bearing life, gear/lubrication standards ISO/DIN/AGMA. Solid manufacturing expertise on Hobbing, shaping, skiving, shaving, grinding, honing; heat treatment (carburizing, nitriding). Proven experience in optimizing Macro, Micro ,Shaft and Material Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills. Good working knowledge of FMEA, DRBFM, and systematic problem-solving methodologies. Competency in technical risk management.
