The Mission: Help Us Electrify and Decarbonize the World The energy transition is the greatest challenge of our time. At GE Vernova, we aren’t just watching it happen—we’re leading it. We are delivering the technology to power the world. From Wind to Power to Electrification, we provide the energy people depend on today while building the sustainable systems of tomorrow.

The Opportunity: High-Impact Development from Day One The Operations Management Development Program (OMDP) is a premier 2-year development journey designed to turn high-potential engineers into the next generation of Supply Chain talent. Through four 6-month rotations, you will take direct ownership of manufacturing challenges and drive operational excellence.

What Your Journey Looks Like: You will build foundational expertise through three mandatory, high-impact rotations designed to give you a 360-degree view of how energy technology is built, using a foundation of lean in all rotations:

  • Supervise Operations: As a Shop Operations Supervisor, you’ll manage and guide a team of skilled technicians on the floor, ensuring safety, quality and productivity.
  • Master the Flow: In Sourcing/Materials Management, you’ll manage the global movement of goods and procurement strategy.
  • Innovate Processes: In a Technical rotation (Quality, Lean, or Manufacturing Engineering), you’ll eliminate waste and optimize production

Why Join the OMDP?

  • Accelerated Growth: We compress years of industry experience into two years of intense, hands-on learning.
  • Global Community: Attend global training sessions with your cohort, focusing on business acumen, negotiation, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Mentorship: Gain access to senior leaders and dedicated career coaching to help you navigate your path.
  • Meaningful Impact: You are directly contributing to the mission of delivering reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy to the world

What We’re Looking For (Basic Qualifications):

  • Education: BS or MS in Engineering or Supply Chain (hands-on manufacturing experience is a must for SC degrees).
  • Work Authorization: Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States of America is required. We will not provide sponsorship for this role now or in the future.

What Will Make You Stand Out: We are looking for individuals who go beyond the basics. You will stand out if you bring:

  • Commitment: A 3.0+ GPA (on a 4 point scale)
  • Experience: Prior internships or co-ops in manufacturing/Lean and less than 2 years of full-time experience.
  • Practical Lean Experience: A proven track record of using Lean principles to solve problems in a manufacturing or team environment
  • Versatile Problem Solvers: A major in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • Strong Interpersonal Agility: The ability to connect with and influence individuals at all levels of the organization—from the shop floor to senior management
  • Proactive Mindset: A self-starter attitude with a deep commitment to a long-term career in manufacturing and supply chain
  • Resilience: The ability to maintain a positive attitude and manage effectively through challenging or high-pressure situations

After Program

  • Career Continuity: This program is designed to build deep expertise within our local communities. Upon successful completion of the 2-year program, you will transition into a critical full-time role at your original location of hire
