Job Description

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)

Start Date: January 2027

Employment Type: Contract / Expat Assignment

We are currently recruiting experienced GE Mechanical Specialists to join a major international offshore energy project in South Korea. This role will be responsible for supporting commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities related to rotating machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support commissioning and start-up activities for rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification of mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary commissioning teams to ensure system readiness.
  • Review technical documentation, procedures, and commissioning records.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
  • Participate in offshore and yard-based commissioning activities when required.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Mechanical Commissioning within Oil & Gas, LNG, FLNG, Petrochemical, or Energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery, mechanical equipment, and commissioning methodologies.
  • Offshore commissioning and start-up experience.
  • Experience working on large-scale EPC and commissioning projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Willingness to travel and support activities at different project locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous FLNG project experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, compressors, pumps, turbines, and associated systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
