About Global Delivery Services

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

The Opportunity

The primary objective of the GDS Cybersecurity Transformation leader is to drive the strategic vision and operational excellence of the Cybersecurity practice within EY GDS. This role is pivotal in enhancing EY's market position by delivering high-quality consulting services that meet client needs and align with EY's values. The purpose is to lead a team of professionals in providing innovative solutions that address complex business challenges, thereby contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the organization. The Cybersecurity practice works across a variety of industries to help our clients successfully deliver cyber transformations by connecting strategy and execution. The Cybersecurity Transformation leader is experienced in solving enterprise-wide strategic, organizational and operational issues by formulating strategic initiatives, redesigning organizations, transforming the operations and processes, and improving business performance. The leader not only understands the role technology plays in large-scale transformations but also has experience in integrating technology and business processes to produce value driven solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity and Privacy has a tremendous growth potential for the firm and is expected to generate upwards of $4 B USD by Fiscal year 2027. To strengthen our technology brand and scale our cybersecurity and privacy capability, the following are the underpinning aspects -

  • (a) A world class global delivery capability on all cybersecurity & emerging technologies with the ability to support market penetration across regions (b) The ability for GDS to own and drive strategic initiatives by playing an active role in various Fields of play for both Strategic & Core Accounts The GDS Cybersecurity practice has been growing at approximately 40% year-on-year, with strong growth in the USLI, UKI, Europe West, MENA and Oceania super regions. In order to continue this growth trajectory two critical elements will be (a) the growth of EY’s market share in USLI and GDS support for the same and (b) the capability of GDS to support cybersecurity services for new and emerging technology such as Architecture Engineering and Emerging Technology, Digital Identity, Customer Identity, Identity Analytics and Cyber Managed Services

Essential Functions of the job

  • Build the GDS consulting brand in the US, MENA, UKI, EU West, Oceania regions and Lead the practices and market facing business and technology service offerings in the cybersecurity for EY GDS.
  • Own and anchor multiple EY G360 and Core accounts and grow the GDS integration for GDS Consulting.
  • Sell, Influence, Present, Propose and Deliver Large scale cybersecurity transformation programs for EY, including building and expanding GDS delivery centers location across the globe
  • Develop strategies, plan, and sell Cyber/Technology projects and solutions related to the Digital identity and emerging technologies.
  • Work with client facing teams and management to prepare estimates, Point of Views, Position Papers and contribute towards cybersecurity pursuits and proposals.
  • Drive Business solution-based assets for cybersecurity and privacy in collaboration with the regional leadership.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong consulting experience, in-depth business knowledge in cybersecurity and privacy areas of the business, ability to sell and run large scale consulting engagements with distributed delivery mindset.
  • Develop newer cybersecurity and digital identity solution offerings at GDS by collaborate and infusion of cybersecurity services in EY’s delivery of technology services such as SAP, Cloud, OT and RPA through integration at GDS and local market levels.
  • Develop capabilities at GDS to support market development and service delivery for security in technologies such as Cloud, IoT/OT, RPA, AI and SAP. This would involve recruitment / training of relevant talent, regional integration and market maker positioning, as well as development of both traditional and pay-per-use services for delivery across Americas, EMEIA, APAC regions.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management with a minimum of 20-25 years of experience. Holding a PhD or Master’s level degree would be huge plus
  • Recognition as a thought leader in the cybersecurity space, which could include publications, speaking engagements, or contributions to industry standards, reflecting a deep understanding of cybersecurity trends and business applications.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role, managing crossfunctional teams (200+ team size) and leading large-scale projects or initiatives within a global organization.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a history of closing significant deals (e.g., multi-million-dollar contracts) and fostering long-term client relationships at” C” level of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a matrixed organization and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering advisory services

Knowledge and Skills Requirement

  • Technology expertise, in the areas of information security management, identity and access management, privacy and data protection, application security, server security, and threat & vulnerability management, Experiecnce across roles spanning Sales & business development, solution architecting, client delivery, innovation, people, and program management.
  • Understanding of security-relevant industry standards and practices, such as ISO 2700x series, COBIT, NIST etc., with demonstratable knowledge of information security, computer forensics and data analysis; practices & procedures related to the investigation and response to network/computer intrusions and data theft.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in planning and implementing risk mitigation strategies relating to data loss prevention, security incident and event management, identity and access management, role-based management, strong authentication, encryption, source code analysis, penetration testing, application and system hardening, firewall management and logical network

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, influence decision-making at the highest levels, and represent EY as a thought leader
  • Competitive intelligence about Big4 and Cyber skill & threat landscape, with sound understanding of typical client IT environment and associated challenges and solutions, with proven ability to sell and execute large scale consulting engagements with a distributed delivery mindset.
