Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, operate, and maintain applications, platforms, and infrastructure
systems to support BASF’s digital transformation • Steer platform delivery by providers,
including request fulfillment, escalation management, and controls platform operations
(ensuring SLA adherence) • Ensure operational security and compliance of platforms,
troubleshooting and resolving platform issues as needed • Optimize efficiency,
performance, and implement cost-effective solutions, focusing on technical expertise,
problem-solving, and continuous learning • Write code, conduct testing, resolve issues, and
collaborate with teams to ensure platforms are functional, reliable, and user-friendly • Steer
own tasks independently, including many interfaces and interdependencies, with a high
level of international, regional, or cross-organizational coordination • Design, develop,

Platform, support weekly on call duty and different shifts · Develop and enhance SAP
development guidelines to ensure high quality, modern and secure code. • Define
requirements for deployment and code scanning solutions and manage their
implementation across the SAP landscape
Qualifications:
• Completed university degree in Business IT, Business Economics, Information Science,
Engineering, or Natural Science, with at least six years of professional experience • Very
good conflict ability and awareness • Very good command of written and spoken English, in
addition to the respective native language • Strong technical expertise in platform
Internal
development (programming languages, debugging, platform design patterns, service
design, data structure, delivery processes) • Experience in supplier management and
steering, agile ways of working (Agile Methodology, Growth Mindset, Continuous Learning,
Customer Focus, User Stories, Metrics, Collaborative Development, Scrum) • Excellent
problem-solving skills (creativity, detail orientation) • Strong self-management (time
management, adaptability) • Ability to manage additional responsibilities outside of own
scope and to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences. • Operating of SAP R/3
and S/4 systems as well as BTP, BDC including strong SAP development knowledge,
especially in the area of ABAP OO, HANA and Fiori
