Job Description

We are looking for a G2E Specialist, who is available for an indicative period of two years in the UK, before returning to one of Leonardo Italia's sites.

Responsibilities

The G2E Specialist supports the G2E Manager in delivering procurement activities across avionics and mission critical systems, strengthening sourcing decisions and elevating supplier performance management through structured, data driven approaches.

The role consolidates supplier insights, manages contract and delivery performance, and ensures adherence to procurement processes and compliance standards. Operating at the intersection of engineering, quality, and operations, the specialist enables effective program reviews through robust data consolidation, dashboards, and performance narratives, while driving continuous improvement and the adoption of digital procurement tools.

A key part of the role is consolidating supplier KPIs, enabling program reviews, escalating risks, and contributing to continuous improvement across procurement tools, processes, and methodologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute G2E procurement strategies across avionics and mission critical systems;
  • Engage suppliers through structured governance and performance management routines;
  • Consolidate supplier KPIs, generate insights, and escalate risks to program leadership;
  • Manage contract adherence, delivery performance, and cost quality schedule optimization;
  • Coordinate engineering, quality, and operations inputs to support program milestones and configuration control;
  • Enable program reviews and governance cycles through data consolidation, dashboards, and performance narratives;
  • Support issue resolution for delivery deviations and non conformances;
  • Drive adherence to procurement processes, security requirements, and compliance standards;
  • Implement digital procurement tools and data driven methodologies (e.g., value based sourcing, analytics enabled procurement, supplier risk segmentation);
  • Reinforce continuous improvement practices across tools, processes, and procurement maturity models.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years in aerospace procurement or program management;
  • Experience in supplier management, negotiation, and performance assessment;
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Project, and standard procurement systems used in aerospace programs;
  • Ability to apply structured procurement methodologies (e.g., sourcing frameworks, supplier segmentation, category strategy execution);
  • Ability to coordinate cross functional activities across engineering, quality, and operations;
  • Ability to consolidate data, generate supplier insights, and support program governance.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Engineering background or understanding of avionics systems, mission critical subsystems, or aircraft development cycles;
  • Experience with digital procurement tools, analytics enabled reporting, or automation platforms;
  • Knowledge of contract management principles, compliance standards, and defence sector security requirements;
  • Exposure to global aerospace supply chain constraints, market trends, and OEM tier supplier ecosystems.

Education Experience is the primary requirement; formal certifications are not mandatory.
