Responsibilities

• Make an Impact from Day One by Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and deliver business value
• Partner with global teams, technology experts, and business stakeholders
• Contribute to enterprise-scale transformation programs
• Create dashboards, documentation, and sustainable knowledge assets
• Explore emerging technologies including AI, automation, analytics, and cybersecurity

What You'll Do

As a GBS , you will:

• Contribute to projects that support business transformation and operational excellence.
• Analyze business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with global teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
• Support the design, testing, implementation, and optimization of technology solutions.
• Create dashboards, reports, process documentation, and knowledge assets.
• Explore emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Analytics, and Cybersecurity.
• Present project outcomes and recommendations to business leaders.

Your Internship Journey

• Week 1: Welcome & Technology Bootcamp
• Weeks 2–4: Business Discovery & Skill Building

Week 1 | Welcome & Technology Bootcamp

• Run orientation and set expectations for the cohort.
• Introduce Fresenius Medical Care, GBS, technology organization and business context.
• Provide technology and business overview so interns understand where their projects fit.
• Include professional skills development such as communication, stakeholder engagement, working style and accountability.
• Confirm access, tools, mentor assignment and first-week support model.

Weeks 2-4 | Business Discovery & Skill Building

• Deliver functional training by track or project area.
• Convert high-level project idea into a practical project plan.
• Set mentor engagement cadence and clarify expectations.
• Run learning workshops that support the intern role and project outcomes.
• Confirm success measures for each intern project.

Weeks 5-9 | Project Ownership & Delivery

• Interns begin executing assigned projects with mentor guidance.
• Create regular stakeholder touchpoints for context and feedback.
• Develop solution options, analysis, recommendations or early prototypes.
• Use progress reviews to remove blockers and reinforce ownership.
• Capture evidence of impact, learnings and next steps.

Weeks 10-22 | Innovation Challenge

• Group interns into cross-functional challenge teams.
• Assign or select a business challenge that is meaningful and solvable within the program.
• Build innovative ideas, solution concepts, prototypes or recommendations.
• Use mentor and SME input to test feasibility and strengthen business relevance.
• Prepare an innovation story that can be shared with leaders.

Week 23 | Showcase Preparation & Final Refinement

• Use as a practical transition week before final showcase.
• Finalize project outcomes, business value and recommendations.
• Run presentation dry-runs with mentors and program leads.
• Complete final feedback inputs and update evaluation notes.
• Prepare interns for leadership Q&A.

Week 24 | Leadership Showcase & Graduation

• Interns present final project outcomes and innovation challenge outputs.
• Interns share key learnings, project impact and recommendations.
• Leadership teams recognize contributions and celebrate achievements.
• Capture final feedback, lessons learned and improvement ideas for the next cohort.
• Confirm conversion, future hiring or alumni pipeline next steps where applicable.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking students who are:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Strong problem-solvers with analytical thinking abilities.
• Effective communicators who enjoy collaboration and teamwork.
• Passionate about technology, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and global environment.

Experience with academic projects, hackathons, student leadership activities, or technology communities is a plus.
