
Job Duties: Associate, Banker-Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Create and analyze financial models, organize and prepare client presentations, help manage transaction processes, and assist in structuring transactions primarily for companies in the Industrials sector. Develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis, and are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. Organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, assess clients' situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Conduct detailed financial analysis on individual, public, and/or privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, focusing on companies in the Industrials sector. Engage with management at companies to build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis. Design custom reports to assist Firm’s investment committee and/or portfolio companies in making investment decisions by outlining the considerations and risks of a particular investment including historical performance and future expectations. Coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions; lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Science, or related field and one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with: serving as a member of multiple client engagement teams, participating in due diligence, and structuring engagements related to transactions for private equity and strategic corporate clients; performing due diligence projects to provide a thorough review of tax returns, legal documents, and financial statements needed to evaluate and calculate potential exposures; identifying and analyzing tax risks and opportunities while advising on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses; providing financial accounting, tax planning, and advisory services to clients, including implementing accounting standards, finance function transformation, annual reporting, and due diligence; and assisting clients in inbound and outbound transaction consulting, including international tax research, planning, compliance, tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition planning.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $175,000 - $203,000.
