Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with a valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the digestive system, liver, pancreas, and biliary tract while providing comprehensive, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
• Evaluate and treat patients with conditions such as GERD, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastrointestinal bleeding, liver diseases, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and colorectal disorders.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, polypectomy, biopsy, and endoscopic hemostasis.
• Assess and manage gastrointestinal emergencies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide preventive healthcare counseling.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and pathology reports to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and international clinical guidelines.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.

Requirements

MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

DM, DNB, MD, MRCP, FRCP, Arab Board, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology.

Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility as a Consultant Gastroenterologist is mandatory.

Minimum 8–10 years of post-specialization experience, including Consultant-level experience in a recognized hospital.

Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy.

ERCP and EUS experience is highly preferred.

Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
