YOUR ROLE

As a Gas & Power Purchaser, you will be responsible for monitoring the Gas, LNG, and Electricity energy markets. You will negotiate and procure energy under various contractual arrangements, including complex agreements related to new energy solutions.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

  • Monitor the Gas, LNG, and Electricity markets in real time, including market trends, arbitrage opportunities, inventory levels, geopolitical and economic developments, market fundamentals, technical analysis, and market calls, in close collaboration with the Financial Markets Desk.
  • Produce market reports primarily for senior management and the Risk Committee, lead market update meetings, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Negotiate and secure LNG and Electricity contracts, including agreements related to new energy solutions, while ensuring their proper execution.
  • Develop purchasing strategies by geographical area (including arbitrage between ports within the same region) and ensure the overall relevance of the LNG and Electricity procurement strategy.
  • Develop and manage your supplier portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the Group's Compliance (CSR) and Quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of dedicated IT tools (testing new features, brainstorming, continuous improvement initiatives, etc.).
  • Comply with and contribute to the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

At your manager's request, you may also be required to conduct ad hoc studies and communicate specific market analyses.

Occasional travel will be required for procurement-related assignments.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Finance, Energy, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in energy procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of the Gas, LNG, and Electricity markets, as well as commercial negotiation techniques.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and responsive, with the ability to monitor market developments and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
