A Snapshot of Your Day

Service Engineering supports the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the installed power-generation fleet. In this role, you will connect data from different systems and turn it into transparent, consistent and user-oriented information products for technical experts and business stakeholders.

You will analyze operating and engineering data, establish reporting structures, develop plant- and fleet-specific dashboards and improve the underlying data flows. The position combines technical understanding, data analytics, digital solution development and close collaboration with Engineering, Field Service, project teams, process owners and IT.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Integrate information from multiple data sources: Collect, combine and structure data from operating-data systems, Product Change Management, engineering databases, and other relevant sources.
  • Analyze fleet and operating data: Evaluate standard operating parameters and additional sensors defined by technical experts. Identify trends, deviations and unusual developments and make the results transparent and traceable.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards: Build clear, user-focused dashboards for plants, fleets and specialist functions. Depending on the use case, these may include operating-data trends, Engineering recommendations, PCM information, action status and milestones.
  • Assure data quality and consistency: Perform systematic checks for completeness and consistency. Identify gaps, duplicates and contradictions and coordinate clarification with the responsible data owners and functions.
  • Improve data models and reporting standards: Define common data structures, terminology, templates, KPIs and quality checks to create scalable solutions.
  • Automate recurring data and reporting activities: Identify manual steps and develop practical solutions using automation tools.
  • Translate requirements into digital solutions: Work with technical experts and stakeholders to convert their needs into maintainable dashboards, data models or workflows.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, data analytics, or comparable technical qualification.
  • Professional experience in data analysis, reporting, technical information management, power generation, Service Engineering or a comparable environment is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand relationships between technical systems, operational behavior and engineering information.
  • Hands-on experience with tools for data preparation, data modeling, visualization and the development of intuitive reports and dashboards (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Power Query, Python, ETL tools, etc.).
  • A careful and reliable approach to data quality, data security, documentation, deadlines and the maintenance of digital solutions.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Confidence working in international and cross-functional teams and the ability to translate specialist requirements into practical digital solutions.
  • A high level of ownership, curiosity and initiative, combined with a pragmatic approach to improving data flows, processes and reporting solutions.
