Our capability to generate renewable energy from landfill gas has grown, and we need to find the right person to join our team at Redvale Landfill and Energy Park. WM is currently looking for a Generation Technician, preferably with experience in engine rebuilding and/or electrical fault-finding. Duties will involve.

  • Ensuring generators are maintained to a high standard and available to run at all times for power generation.
  • inspection and monitoring gas plant, reporting problems found and reacting promptly to breakdowns.
  • Balance gas flows to the plant within the Energy Park.
  • Be an active participant in a safety-first culture.

We are looking for a passionate individual with mechanical or electrical experience who is committed to excellent performance, has superior communication skills, can solve problems and find the best possible solution.

Qualifications

  • Certified Mechanic or equivalent trade experience
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
  • Mechanical experience with internal combustion engines
  • Electrical knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience in breakdown work.
  • Basic IT skills
