
This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Pay for the Gas System Tech position in in the range of $69,400 to $86,750, and the Senior Gas System Tech is in the range of $80,500 to $100,625 and is dependent upon skills, experience and education of the successful candidate. This pay range is composed of a current base pay range of $55,520 to $69,400 for the Gas System Tech position and $64,400 to $80,500 for the Senior Gas System Tech position with 25% supplemental pay, which is administered in accordance with NMGC’s Supplemental Pay Policy.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Carlsbad Service Center.

Working Conditions
Subject to 75% outdoor work, overtime, weekends, on-call, frequent travel and working within confined spaces. Works with high pressure lines, and uses self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), as needed. Regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, driving, sitting, lifting 20 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.
