Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.

When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

Do you enjoy traveling, communicate confidently in English, and have a strong technical mindset?
Would you like to be part of a stable, international team where dedication and hard work are truly valued?

If your answer is yes, then this is the place for you – even if you are just starting your career!

Applications from recent graduates are also welcome!

MWM offers energy solutions based on high-performance gas engines, used in highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants for decentralized energy generation. Our customized cogeneration power plants and integrated solutions support our customers in making their energy supply efficient, flexible, and future-proof. In 1871, Carl Benz laid the basis for MWM by founding the “Mechanical Workshop“ in Mannheim. Today, the MWM brand is part of Caterpillar Energy Solutions and combines more than 150 years of experience in the development and optimization of gas engines and generator sets for natural gas, biogas, and other special gases.

We will teach you the profession-specific knowledge and the world of gas engines from the ground up.
From your side, we are looking for solid fundamentals, openness, and strong motivation!

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on mindset:
Some basic experience in maintenance or repair – this could come from school practice, a hobby, or short-term work experience. The key is that you are comfortable using tools.

  • High motivation and strong work ethic:
As a junior, your enthusiasm is your biggest asset. You should be open to learning new technologies and take a proactive approach to tasks.

  • Willingness to travel and flexibility:
The role involves frequent travel (approx. 70%) within Hungary and across neighboring countries (e.g. the Balkans, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Austria, Poland).

  • Valid Category B driving license and confident driving skills.

  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office).

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Previous hands-on experience as an automotive, truck, bus, motorcycle, agricultural machinery, or heavy equipment mechanic/technician is considered a strong advantage for this role
