If you have CAT G3600 experience and are interested in 14x14 remote work, this opportunity in Fort St John is for you! (5x2 schedule available for Locals)

Wage: $54.79-$60.88 base hourly rate (+RWA+premiums)
Shift: 14x14 continuous shift (5x2 for locals)
Travel: up to $1000 travel pay to commute to Fort St John area
Accommodation: Supplied (different options available)
Logistics: Tooled truck supplied

In this role, you’ll put your skills into action by partnering directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar gas and diesel engines—both in the shop and out in the field—leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on. Your work will include:

  • Field diagnosis and running repairs

  • Largescale overhauls and rebuilds

  • Component replacements

  • Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Millwright and Automotive also accepted)

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Journeyman Technician

  • CAT G3600 experience is essential

  • Previous CAT general line experience including troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of CAT engine and powertrain components

  • 2 years experience on gas engines and compressors

  • 2 years experience operating a service truck

  • Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills

Important Details:

  • A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable 

  • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
