Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Gardener, on a 5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.63 - £18.29 per hour

Seasonal Gardener opportunities available across Swindon Borough supporting grounds maintenance and landscaping services throughout the summer season. Candidates must hold a full UK manual driving licence, be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, and be physically fit for manual gardening duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and operating gardening equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain communal landscaped areas across the borough
• Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, planting, and general gardening duties
• Operate equipment such as mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, blowers, and pedestrian mowers
• Support the borough's gardening and grounds maintenance teams
• Carry out manual labour including lifting, bending, carrying, and walking throughout the working day

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence covering manual vehicles
• Willingness to drive light goods vehicles
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual gardening duties
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-focused approach
