We’re looking for a friendly, hands-on Gardener to join our Grounds Maintenance & Client Services team at a prestigious hotel. This isn’t just any gardening role – you’ll be helping create an environment that guests love to visit, while representing our company with pride.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning, spraying, and general garden maintenance – keeping our grounds looking immaculate.
Maintaining and caring for machinery, tools, and vehicles, ensuring everything is clean and ready for action.
Chatting with guests in a friendly, professional way – you’ll be one of the faces of the hotel!
Following health & safety practices and using PPE correctly.
Helping the team find smarter, more efficient ways to care for the grounds.
Occasionally working weekends or bank holidays, when needed, to keep our gardens at their best.
What we’re looking for:
Someone with practical grounds maintenance experience and a passion for horticulture.
A team player who’s happy to work on their own initiative when needed.
A positive, can-do attitude – you take pride in your work and the impression you leave.
Strong communication and customer service skills – guests might stop to ask what you’re planting next!
Physically fit and capable of hands-on gardening tasks.
Ideally, you’ll have a UK driving licence, horticultural qualifications, or spraying certifications, but these aren’t essential – enthusiasm goes a long way.
