Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly

Join Pilgrim Place, a welcoming senior living community in Claremont, where respect, teamwork, and stewardship guide all that we do. We’re seeking a dependable and experienced Gardener to help maintain the beauty, safety, and overall health of our campus grounds.
In this role, you’ll care for lawns, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas while contributing to a positive, service-oriented environment for residents, families, and team members.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and planter beds, including mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Rake and remove debris from lawns, streets, walkways, and common areas.
- Operate, maintain, and repair gardening equipment and irrigation systems as needed.
- Assist with sprinkler installation, furniture or equipment moves, and special events setup.
- Clean rain gutters, drains, and other exterior areas as assigned.
- Follow work orders, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments safely and efficiently.
- Support campus initiatives by attending meetings, serving on committees, and practicing good safety habits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
- Minimum three months experience in grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of proper operation of mechanical gardening equipment.
- Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to organize work assignments and follow up on written and verbal work requests.
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to perform the work satisfactorily.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a variety of circumstances and exercise sound judgment
