Job Description

Ready to lead the daily operations of our TUI bus and jeep garages in Boa Vista? We're looking for a Garage Manager to oversee our garage operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective maintenance of our vehicle fleet. You'll lead and support garage team, uphold the highest standards of vehicle safety and compliance, manage budgets effectively and minimise vehicle downtime.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Oversee day-to-day garage maintenance for buses and jeeps and ensure timely and effective servicing, repair, and maintenance of all vehicles.
  • Overseeing garage operations and workshop teams means you'll ensure preventive maintenance plans are implemented and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance schedules and monitor workshop productivity and efficiency
  • Assign tasks and shifts; monitor performance, provide training and enforce safety procedures and workshop discipline.
  • Maintain detailed service records for all vehicles and ensure all buses and jeeps are roadworthy and meet regulatory standards.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
  • Manage the garage budget and control operational costs, ensure cost-effectiveness and quality for all repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and workshop supplies.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with TUI Group transportation policy regulations.
  • Implement safety protocols, conduct periodic safety audits and report and investigate accidents or major vehicle issues.
  • Liaise with drivers, mechanics garage staff, and manager. Prepare regular reports on garage performance, vehicle availability, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all maintenance is documented online / offline by vehicle.

ABOUT YOU

  • You hold a recognised European-standard mechanic qualification and bring strong technical expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Experience maintaining and servicing large bus fleets, such as MAN and Volvo vehicles, enables you to ensure high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Your leadership skills are well established, with previous experience managing teams and supporting colleagues to deliver operational excellence.
  • A background in delivering technical training or coaching others allows you to share knowledge and develop team capability.
  • You're someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex operational challenges with practical, effective solutions.
  • Fluency in English and Portugeese allows you to communicate effectively across our diverse teams.
  • You have a valid drivers license and are a confident driver.
