Training Pay: $24 per hour

Tip Top Garage Doors is looking for a positive, dependable, and mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician to join our Charlotte team. We’re a family-run company built on quality workmanship, honest service, and treating our customers—and one another—like neighbors.

Garage door experience is preferred, but it isn’t required. If you bring a strong work ethic, a customer-first attitude, and a willingness to learn, we’ll provide the training and support you need to build a rewarding long-term career.

Compensation

• Earn $24 per hour during training
• After successfully completing training, compensation transitions from hourly pay to performance-based pay
• Technicians have a realistic earning potential of $100,000+ annually after training
• Your earning potential grows with your skills, productivity, customer service, and overall performance

What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and related equipment
• Inspect systems, diagnose problems, and recommend safe, effective solutions
• Clearly explain repair and replacement options so customers can make informed decisions
• Deliver friendly, professional service during every customer interaction
• Complete accurate job documentation, including notes, photos, and diagrams
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and fellow technicians
• Continue developing your technical, customer-service, and problem-solving skills

What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in the field
• Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds and work comfortably on ladders
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dependability, accountability, and attention to detail
• Garage door installation or repair experience is preferred but not required
• ServiceTitan experience is a plus
