Pay Range: $26.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.

- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for entry-level candidates, paid within the first 4 months of employment. No prior experience required.
- $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for experienced installers, paid after 4 months of employment. Minimum of one year of related experience required.
Position
The Garage Door Installer is responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage door systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Successful candidates must be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites as assigned and assess customer installation and service needs.
- Install, service, and repair garage doors, openers, and related components according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed to the customer's satisfaction while maintaining quality workmanship and minimizing warranty issues.
- Identify and promote opportunities for service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, product upgrades, and additional sales.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of company products, services, pricing, parts, and installation procedures.
- Recommend and sell replacement products, accessories, and repair parts when appropriate.
- Continuously improve mechanical skills and stay current on installation techniques, safety requirements, and product updates.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure job sites are clean and free of debris upon project completion.
- Accurately complete and submit work orders, job tickets, time sheets, and related documentation in a timely manner.
- Collect customer payments (CODs) when required and notify management of any payment issues or scope changes.
- Maintain truck inventory and possess a working knowledge of parts, part numbers, and product s.
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow all driving safety regulations and job site safety procedures.
- Know the location of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and comply with all company safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to read work orders, installation instructions, and project documentation.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of garage door installation and service experience preferred.
- Experience with Overhead Door™ products is a plus but not required.
- Welding and/or electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
Required Training & Certifications

- OSHA 10 Certification
- Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review, contingent upon employment
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding, work at heights, and perform tasks in confined spaces. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and overhead work are required. The ability to work safely in varying weather conditions is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive to the jobsite per the instructions of the manager, assess the customer’s installation needs, and complete the installation of the product to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Consistently seek and promote business opportunities for service, sales, and preventative maintenance contracts.
- Acquire knowledge of all products and pricing.
- Capable of pricing and selling replacement products and repair parts.
- Further, develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with product requirements for installing material to meet safety specifications
- while maintaining quality workmanship with minimal warranty.
- Maintain a safe working environment and, upon completion of the day’s work, ensure the job site is clean and clear of debris.
- Ensure that all job tickets and time sheets are completed, signed, and submitted accurately to ensure all tickets are processed in a timely manner and time
- sheets reach the payroll department before the cutoff.
- Complete all job tickets and collect CODs when applicable; call management if a problem occurs with the collection or scope of work changes.
- Maintain inventory on the truck; have knowledge and understanding of all parts, part numbers, and part descriptions
- Other duties as required, based on Company and Customer needs
- Observe all driving safety rules at all times
- Observe job site safety rules and know the location of the MSDS packets in your vehicle
- Maintain truck and tool housekeeping
Role Requirements:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license in the state where employed.
- Must be able to read job instructions and record materials in the work order.
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in the construction industry is helpful
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in garage door installation and servicing
- Experience with Overheard Door brand products would be helpful, but not necessary
- Welding and/or electrical experience
- Good mechanical aptitude
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS (COMPANY PROVIDED)
Motor Vehicle Report to be completed, contingent upon employment.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to work in confined or elevated spaces, lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolding repeatedly, and frequently bend, twist, and turn at the shoulders, waist, and knees.
