We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sub-Contractor for our Garage Door Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of residential garage doors. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The Garage Door Installer will ensure that all installations meet safety standards and customer satisfaction. This position is Monday - Friday with sub-contractor piece work rates. The earning potential is $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
• Install and repair residential garage doors, including automatic openers.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine installation specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
• Restore or replace damaged components of garage doors.
• Ensure proper alignment, plumb, and functionality of installed doors.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed doors to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Proven experience in construction or carpentry is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Own truck, tools and ladders
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Sitting, standing, kneeling for extended periods of time
