The Arcade Game Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of arcade games and select attractions within the facility. This position performs preventive maintenance, responds to in-park game issues, and supports overall equipment functionality to ensure a strong guest experience.

Reports to: Technical Services Manager (TSM) and General Manager
Weekend availability is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair arcade game issues in a timely manner
  • Respond to game calls during operating hours
  • Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machines
  • Test every game weekly and log results in the tracking system
  • Complete weekly maintenance sheets and assigned dashboard tasks
  • Maintain proper prize levels in all self-contained and instant win games
  • Maintain game appearance and functionality throughout open hours
  • Perform lighting and sound system repairs and maintenance
  • Support repairs on miniature golf course features, batting cages, and other attractions as needed
  • Perform basic facility repairs and maintenance as needed
  • Keep workshop clean, organized, and safe
  • Inform the TSM and General Manager of potential equipment issues
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety standards
  • Complete weekly cleaning checklists and assigned projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience

  • Working knowledge of how to operate a multi-meter
  • Basic electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read schematics and flowcharts
  • Prior arcade or mechanical repair experience is a plus

Computer Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications

Communication Skills

  • Ability to read and understand instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership

Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to diagnose problems using proper tools and documentation

Physical and Schedule Requirements

  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and hands-on activity
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Background check may be required
