Game Mathematician

The Game Mathematician is responsible for creating slot machine games, various probability theory mathematical models based on slot game requirements and validating calculations by utilizing computer simulations.

Role Responsibility:

• Participates in the creation and review of original mathematical models and new game math concepts.
• Defining Odds, Volatility & RTP modelling of games & calculating Max-win possible
• Defining Bet Arrays & Calculating the win scenarios.
• Creates or reviews reel-strips and combination sheets.
• Produces or reviews documentation for regulators describing reel strips and math models.
• Support product release by facilitating the distribution of approved mathematical material and files.
• Be meticulous and organized in the approach to the tasks, files, and storage of the material.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Requires a minimum of 2 Years of experience in building mathematical models, and game systems. Experience in the gaming industry preferred.

Education

Bachelors/master’s degree in mathematics, statistics related field.

Skills/ Knowledge

• Proficient programming statistical models and simulations in modern programming language.
• Exceptional understanding of mathematical concepts and models in gaming.
• An understanding of probability and its application to games of chance.
• Expertise in different gambling concepts and styles preferred.
• Knowledge of maximum Class III gaming regulatory environments.
• Programming background in two or more of the following: C, C++, Java, XML preferred.
• Must have experience with MS Office Excel and Word.
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team to develop game prototypes and tools.
• Self-driven, responsible, and detail-oriented person.
• Passion for casino and/or computer games.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Must have the ability to speak, read and understand English, tolerate moderate to occasional high levels of stress, capable of multi tasking, and meeting deadlines.

• Strong passion for making AAA games.
