
This part-time position creates gallery experiences, virtual learning experiences, and supports general programming for preschool through high school audiences. Through dynamic teaching strategies this position explores ways for students to make connections with art objects and inspires wonder and curiosity to further discovery with the CMA collection.
Requirements:
Bachelors’ Degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Art Education, Education, or related field preferred. At least one year of experience successfully planning and facilitating object-based learning experiences that engage diverse audiences, or other relevant teaching experience. Demonstrated knowledge of current theory and practice in museum education. Ability to experiment, think creatively, and solve problems. Ability to communicate gracefully and tactfully with visitors, colleagues, and staff from other community organizations. Evidence of strong collaborative skills and experience facilitating dynamic and respectful discourse among diverse groups of personalities in both internal and external constituents. Ability to receive input and feedback from a variety of sources, and channel feedback into actionable strategy.
Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, ASL or other languages in addition to English is strongly preferred.
Hourly rate: $15.00
