This position is accountable for performing a range of general clerical and design tasks.

Examples of duties

• Monitors public viewing hours
• Greets visitors
• Assists in maintenance of galleries both at the Visual Arts Center and at the Warde Academic Center
• Performs clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and typing documents
• Assists in show installation and de-installation
• Assists in packaging shows for shipment
• Assists in unloading and loading artists' vehicles when delivering or picking up work
• Assembles mass mailing
• Answers phone
• Safeguards Gallery exhibits by making sure the Gallery is alarmed and disarmed as necessary
• Assists Studio Lab Manager with archiving events and exhibits through means of video and photography
• Helps Gallery Director host visiting artists’ receptions
• Performs related duties as assigned

Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

Clerical, computer, design, photo skills, and working with the public are a plus.
