
Human Resources announces an opening for a 1.0 FTE Registrar. This is a 260-days, Grade G-10 position located at Williamsburg Middle School.
Graduation from high school or GED, required
Additional coursework, certificates, or degrees in the use of computers and teleprocessing and information systems preferred
Prior work history in a school system or similar setting preferred school system or similar setting preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that would provide the above noted knowledge, skill, and ability may be considered.
Proof of fluency (oral and written communication) in English and Spanish is required. As assigned, a valid driver’s license is required
Good knowledge of computer technology utilizations
Ability to meet deadlines on time for required reporting purposes
Ability to accurately maintain complex data files and to prepare reports from files and records.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, support staff, students, and families.
Ability to perform work independently and accurately under deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of enrollment and residency procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE CLASS (May not include all duties performed; not all incumbents perform all essential functions delineated.)
Performs a wide variety of registration and student information processing tasks
Creates a positive and welcoming experience for families and students new to APS as part of the student registration process.
Operates a variety of computer applications and enters information on each student, from registration to graduation, including class assignments, schedule changes, transfer grade histories, and other student information.
Maintain student academic records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Enters, maintains and retrieves information from the student information system.
Performs responsible administrative support tasks as required or assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary:$ 24.25- 43.76 per hour
