Job Description

Embark on a journey within our Global Markets BU, a dedicated team within our Financial Markets SBU, which accompanies a broad range of clients (domestic and International) through their daily FX transaction services and provide tailor made risk management solutions and investment decisions.

We are on the lookout for:

Job vacancy: FX Trader

Your responsibility will be to maintain and develop trading relationships with targeted segments while performing the preliminary verification / follow up on customers' trade requests in view of ensuring a prompt and accurate service to customers at all times.

In this role you will,

  • Contribute to the bank's Profit and Loss figures by taking advantage of market movements on the FX market;
  • Develop and implement trading strategies based on market conditions;
  • Monitor and manage FX Trading risks, while adhering to risk limits and trading guidelines set;
  • Collaborate with the Global Markets and Treasury Management (GMTM) Sales Desk and provide optimized pricing to increase the bank’s market share;
  • Develop and maintain relationship with local and international counterparties to access liquidity and best trade execution;
  • Provide competitive and dynamic quotes to the FX sales team and cover client flows;
  • Liaise with other subsidiaries on maximization of group trading income;
  • Assist the Manager FX in managing the risk on the bank's open FX position and forward exposure;
  • Provide coaching to team members as and when required and continually share information, experience and expertise;
  • Keep abreast of changes in systems, procedures, product and services deliverables and enforce continuous knowledge transfer and sharing so as keep team members up-to-date, enhance efficiency and improve service levels;
  • Provide recommendations to Manager FX (supported with analysis) for enhancement of trading strategies;
  • Conduct research on various currencies, economic indicators and market trends;
  • Providing market commentary, updates, views, and forecasts to Global Markets Sales team;
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to FX Trading.

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of

EITHER:

  • Degree in Finance or any relevant professional and business qualifications;
  • 5 years of experience in FX Trading or relevant field;
  • An ACI dealing Certificate or any related Certified Treasury certificate would be an advantage.

OR:

  • 8 years of experience in FX Trading or relevant field;
  • An ACI dealing Certificate or any related Certified Treasury certificate would be an advantage.

A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
