Job Description

Future Talent Assistant (12-Month HR Placement)

Application Deadline: 13 April 2026

Department: Placement

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: London

Compensation: £25,200 / year

We are a leading global market research company, enabling organisations to make smarter, bolder, and faster decisions.

You will be the operational backbone for our Future Talent function, ensuring that our HR services run smoothly and compliantly across the entire employee lifecycle. Your work will have a tangible impact on the business.

Beyond the essential HR operations, you will be a key ambassador for our employer brand. Whether you are coordinating university events, supporting our work experience programme, or taking creative ownership of our Future Talent TikTok page, you will help attract top talent to Ipsos.

Ultimately, you will build excellent relationships across the business and play a vital role in creating a positive, seamless experience for our graduates, apprentices, and placement students, ensuring they feel supported and set up for success from day one.

The Role

These are the types of things you can expect to be doing during your placement. As Ipsos is a dynamic organisation, this may vary as different opportunities arise:

  • Play a key support role working with our Future Talent recruitment vendor (Instant Impact).
  • Assist in the logistics and scheduling of Future Talent assessment centres and interviews.
  • Ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience (right-to-work checks, contract setup, induction coordination).
  • Maintain and improve HR data quality across iTalent, payroll systems and trackers; proactively surface inaccuracies and resolve them.
  • Support employee lifecycle activity (changes, promotions, leavers, absences) and act as a reliable administrative point of contact.
  • Produce and format routine HR reports and dashboards (using HRIS and Excel) that provide timely insight into attrition, diversity and other core metrics.
  • Use AI tools to streamline repetitive admin tasks and improve the clarity and presentation of reports and communications.
  • Respond to employee and manager queries with a service-first approach, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the Generation Ipsos training programme, liaising with facilitators and attendees to schedule sessions, manage logistics, and ensure our Future Talent cohorts have a seamless and engaging learning experience.
  • Support and lead on school and university activities and events (e.g., gathering volunteers, organising logistics, and collating materials).
  • Take ownership of the Future Talent TikTok page - brainstorming, creating, and posting engaging content to showcase our culture and attract prospective candidates.

About You

We encourage diversity of thought so we look for candidates who are as diverse as the societies, markets and people we work with. Therefore we are looking for:

Essential:

  • You must be currently studying an undergraduate degree that offers a 12-14 month placement year in industry.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills; able to juggle competing deadlines, coordinate logistics for events.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally and build relationships with stakeholders, managers, and external vendors at all levels.
  • A passion for working with software tools, including proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for reporting). Comfortable navigating databases and handling data accurately.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach to offering help and taking ownership of tasks.

Desirable:

  • A genuine interest in Human Resources, Future Talent, or Talent Acquisition.
  • A creative eye and familiarity with social media platforms (particularly TikTok) for content creation, brainstorming, and employer brand promotion.
  • Familiarity with, or a keen interest in, using AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, streamline admin tasks, and enhance the clarity of your work.
  • Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas) and experience building formatted reports.
  • A genuine interest in the market research or professional services industry, and an enthusiasm for working within a diverse, global, and multi-site organisation
  • Experience analysing data or creating reports, coupled with a strong interest in applying these skills to 'people analytics' and HR dashboards.

Along with…

  • The unrestricted right to work in the UK.
