Work You’ll Do

As a Project Lead Integration Engineer II, you will provide strategic planning and subject matter expertise as well as expertise in planning, coordination, command, control, and synchronization of naval, joint, and combined operations. This role ensures a high level of readiness and integration, enhancing the U.S. military’s capability to deter adversaries and prepare for crisis or conflict in the Indo-Pacific. The planner enables rigorous operational integration, campaign planning, and optimal resource utilization for multi-domain maritime campaigns, directly supporting both routine operations and emergent crisis response


Key Responsibilities


Daily

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of security agreements, policy, and applicable strategies from USINDOPACOM, HQMC, and PACFLT to all planning, assessment, and operational tasks.
  • Integrate combined and joint warfighting concepts—including command relationships—into planning products and daily decisions.
  • Lead and support a range of operational planning teams, joint planning groups, working groups, boards, and cross-functional or integrated planning teams.
  • Use Microsoft Office and similar platforms to build and present written and visual decision-support products.
  • Identify and analyze applicable complex military problems; generate, brief, and document recommendations for senior leader decisions.
  • Participate in and contribute to daily Stand-Up Briefs.

Weekly

  • Join weekly updates, branch head synchronizations, future operations and all-domain integrated planning teams, line of effort working groups, synchronizations, and competition/crisis working groups.
  • Engage in operational and intelligence briefs, and ADA2 working group sessions.

Monthly–Quarterly

  • Participate in campaign synchronization and decision boards, joint effects/plan validation boards, and Command update briefs.
  • Support MEFs, numbered fleets, and other components with planning.
  • Plan and support Joint Targeting & Intelligence Boards, ADA2, and force modernization initiatives.
  • Contribute to campaign assessments and discuss findings in semi-annual reviews.
  • Support the planning and execution of the expeditionary operations.

Annual/Ad Hoc

  • Complete annual training and contribute feedback for the Commandant’s Risk Assessment, Annual Joint Assessment, annual command assessments, and commander’s feedback cycles.
  • Participate in major exercises (Command Post, Field Training, Table Top, Naval Services Games, Staff/Warfighter Talks), and plan and support Fleet Battle Problems.
  • Prepare operational orders (PLANORDs, WARNORDs, EXORDs), meeting briefs and minutes, event evaluations, after-action/trip reports, key leader engagement talking points, and conference materials.
  • Evaluate OAI events and develop recommendations for future operations.
  • Travel as needed to support lanning and assessments.
  • Provide support in writing OPLANs, support plans, and contingency plans (CONPLANs).
  • Brief and support senior leadership events and symposiums.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active TS SCI security clearance required.
  • 5+ years of experience and expertise in joint or naval planning, operational-level command integration, and multi-component campaign or crisis response operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other planning platforms.
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities in complex environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including presentations and decision briefings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with diverse teams in high-stakes, multi-agency contexts.

Preferred:

  • Masters Degree
  • Advanced degree in related field such as Strategic Studies, National Security, Military Science.
  • Experience working with USMC, COMPACFLT, or USINDOPACOM in joint/combined functional component roles.
  • Direct involvement in campaign planning, operational assessments, and iteration of military doctrine.
  • Familiarity with modern multi-domain operations, force modernization, and Fleet Battle Problem planning/execution.
  • Previous leadership of cross-functional operational planning teams at headquarters or component level.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,300 to $188,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
