About the Role:
Furniture Mart is looking for a hardworking and dependable Furniture Warehouse Associate to join our team in Gretna, LA! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in keeping our warehouse running smoothly and getting quality furniture into the hands of our customers. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming furniture shipments for accuracy and damage
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in a clean, orderly, and efficient manner
- Pick, pack, and prepare furniture orders for customer pickup or delivery
- Load and unload delivery trucks safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Assist with furniture assembly and product staging as needed
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or furniture experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (50–100+ lbs) regularly
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification a plus
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred
