The woodworker shop operator and frame builder is responsible for operating and maintaining various woodworking machines like saws, sanders, drill presses to cut, shape wood components according to specifications, ensuring quality, and safety standards from patterns. Combining the ability of woodworking skills to assemble furniture frames and bases following detailed specifications.

Capability to interpret production tickets along with any specific instructions
Utilize equipment and machinery including tape measures, large staple guns, screwdrivers, grinders, bandsaws, drills, and levels
Must ensure that all specifications for the order are fulfilled
Assemble pre-cut wooden components
Construct bases for furniture
Competent in operating a bandsaw for cutting legs and similar tasks
Transport frames from the workstation to the storage area
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Assist with repairs
Experience/Certifications/Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of furniture, and/or carpentry experience
Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills
Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable multi-tasking, or pivoting between tasks as the need arises
Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change
A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player, and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high-quality standards.
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 9 hours or more daily.
Requires lifting 0-25 lbs continuously, 25-50 lbs occasionally.
Forklift experience preferred
