We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join The Omega Society team and act as the Community Engagement partner on site, building meaningful community partnerships and driving referrals.

The Opportunity

As the Community Engagement Lead (CEL) for The Omega Society, you are the face of the business across Orange County and surrounding Southern California communities. This is a relationship-driven, field-based role for someone who thrives on being out in the community — building trust, creating partnerships, and making meaningful connections.

The Omega Society is a long-standing Orange County cremation provider focused on simple and affordable services delivered with compassion and care.

In this role, you will build and grow a portfolio of community relationships, helping families navigate end-of-life planning while supporting sustainable growth for The Omega Society. The position is based at The Omega Society location and works closely with the on-site leadership team while spending significant time in the community developing partnerships and outreach opportunities.

This role is ideal for:

  • Natural networkers
  • Mission-driven relationship builders
  • Community organizers
  • Business development professionals
  • Hospice or healthcare liaisons
  • Self-starters who love autonomy and measurable impact
  • Funeral industry experience is helpful but not required. We’re looking for heart, drive, credibility, and the ability to build trust.

What You’ll Own

Community Relationship Building

  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships with hospices, healthcare providers, clergy, veterans’ organizations, first responders, senior living communities, and other referral sources.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between The Omega Society team and community partners.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships that create consistent referrals and meaningful impact.
  • Track and manage relationship pipelines using CRM tools.

Education & Advocacy

  • Lead educational workshops and presentations on pre-planning, end-of-life options, and grief support.
  • Provide resources and guidance to families and healthcare professionals.
  • Position The Omega Society as the trusted local expert in end-of-life planning.

Program & Event Leadership

  • Organize and execute community events, memorial programs, and grief support initiatives.
  • Collaborate with The Omega Society leadership team to align outreach with growth and referral goals.
  • Develop creative engagement strategies tailored to your market.

Who You Are

You’re someone people trust quickly. You build authentic connections and follow through. You’re comfortable walking into a room of strangers and building meaningful relationships.

  • Proven relationship-building or business development experience
  • Experience in healthcare, community outreach, nonprofit work, sales, or partnership development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Spanish and English fluency, both spoken and written
  • High personal accountability and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally throughout the community
  • Comfort attending community events and programs, including occasional evenings or weekends
  • Funeral, hospice, or healthcare experience is a plus.

Why This Role Is Different

  • Autonomy with impact: You own your territory and your relationships.
  • Mission-driven growth: This is business development with purpose.
  • Career path potential: Join a privately held, growing national organization.
  • Compassion-driven culture: We lead with heart — always.
