About You
You are a relationship-focused, organised and values-led fundraising or partnerships professional who enjoys meaningful work with global impact. You bring strong research and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organisation.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day and is adaptable in their approach. You’ll be comfortable supporting across different streams and stepping up to support where required to contribute to the organisation’s success.

You have:

  • 3–5 years' experience in fundraising, partnerships or relationship management in the Australian not-for-profit sector
  • Knowledge of the Australian philanthropic landscape
  • Experience preparing quality proposals, briefings or cases for support
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Experience using Raiser's Edge or a similar CRM
  • A genuine commitment to international development and alignment with AKF's values
  • A valid work permit for Australia

The position

Aga Khan Foundation Australia (AKF Australia) was established in 2022 as the Foundation’s outreach and representation office. in Australia. It is focused on building partnerships and mobilising financial and technical resources in support of AKF's programmes across Africa, Central and South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. At an exciting stage of growth, AKF Australia is expanding its network of partners and supporters across Australia and building its local resource mobilisation program.

As Fundraising and Partnerships Officer, you will support AKF Australia's next phase of growth in an inaugural role reporting to the Country Director. The position spans donor stewardship, philanthropic partnerships, fundraising administration and selected institutional funding support.

In this role, you will:

  • Research prospective philanthropic partners, including foundations, family offices and private institutions
  • Prepare cases for support, briefing papers and proposals for partner engagement
  • Steward individual donors through personalised communications and engagement activities
  • Coordinate donor communications, events and supporter enquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting in Raiser's Edge or a similar CRM
  • Support donation processing, receipting and acknowledgements
