Job Description

Our client is hiring a Funding Specialist to support loan closing and post-closing operations within a fast-paced consumer lending environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring loans move efficiently from approval through funding and post-closing. The position requires a high level of accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple files at different stages of the process.

Responsibilities

• 
  Review and verify all documentation required to close consumer loans
• 
  Prepare and organize loan documents for customers
• 
  Work directly with dealers and loan officers to ensure a smooth and timely closing process
• 
  Gather wiring instructions and process wire transfers accurately
• 
  Manage post-closing title-related issues and follow up as needed
• 
  Oversee back-end loan processes including insurance, first payment defaults, and post-closing items
• 
  Track and manage multiple files simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timelines

Qualifications

• 
  High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• 
  5+ years of consumer loan or mortgage closing experience required
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 
  Experience with DocuSign required
• 
  Comfortable working on the phone and coordinating with multiple parties throughout the day
• 
  Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Work Environment & Schedule

• 
  Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 
  Additional hours may be required during high-volume periods
• In-office role based in Tysons Corner
• 
  Consistent, reliable attendance is required
