As a Fund Servicing Associate within Fund Services Operations, you will be responsible for leading client onboarding and fund event activities. You will oversee transitions, restructures, reconciliations, tax and accounting onboarding activities, operational risk management, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of services to clients. You will play a key role in maintaining a strong control environment, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
Job responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end client onboarding activities, including fund transitions, tax onboarding, accounting transitions, and fund restructures.
- Coordinate the onboarding of new client data, accounting records, tax records, and operational configurations across relevant platforms.
- Analyze and validate transition data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and successful migration of client information.
- Perform reconciliations between source records and onboarded accounting and tax records to ensure data integrity.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, custodians, technology teams, operations partners, and clients to support seamless onboarding and transition activities.
- Ensure operational controls, governance requirements, and risk management standards are adhered to throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain client-specific procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and process documentation.
- Support internal and external audits and participate in operational risk reviews and remediation activities.
- Partner with global teams to ensure consistency of processes, controls, and service standards across locations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience within Financial Services, Fund Services, Asset Management Operations, Fund Accounting, or Client Onboarding functions.
- Strong understanding of Fund Accounting, Mutual Funds, Pension Funds, Accounting Transitions, and Fund Lifecycle Management.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, account reconciliations, securities processing, corporate actions, income processing, and trade activity.
- Experience managing operational risk, controls, governance, and audit requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex operational processes.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior team leadership, supervisory, or people management experience.
- Experience supporting large-scale onboarding, fund launches, restructures, or transition events.
- Knowledge of operational transformation, workflow optimization, and automation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across global operating models.
- Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA, CFA, or equivalent financial certification.
- Experience working within Asset Management, Fund Administration, Custody, or Investor Services environments.
