About the Team & Business Line:

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

Your Role:

  • Your role will encompass the administration of and any services pursuant to Administration Agreements in respect of a portfolio of Real Estate funds working closely with the Vice President and supervising a small team of accountants.
  • Responsible for maintaining books and records and calculation of fund Net Asset Values;
  • Coordinating and reviewing financial statements and associated reports, including performance metrics for monthly/quarterly reporting;
  • Coordinate and review calculations and investor allocations for capital calls and distributions;
  • Coordinate and review capital account statements;
  • Coordinate processing of payments and other transactions;
  • Supervise junior staff, reviewing and signing off on work performed;
  • Acting as a primary day-to-day contact with clients and other fund participants;
  • Work closely with the Investor Relations team to respond to investor queries and to disseminate capital activity and other investor notices;
  • Maintaining relationships with investors, investment advisors/managers, banks, auditors and other fund participants;
  • Assisting auditors, other fund participants and advisers;
  • Participating in presentations to existing and prospective clients;
  • Monitor compliance of various agreements with clients, including the Service Level Agreement;
  • Participating in projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business;
  • Any other functions required as part of the business of the Company, and reporting to the Vice President.
  • Manage and oversee all service related matters for a portfolio of client companies, from a corporate secretarial point of view;
  • Manage and supervise staff in your account, company secretaries and other support staff in Singapore and Shared Service Centers and coordinate internal and external timelines to ensure deliverables to clients are met;
  • Review and approve timesheets of account team members, ensure time is billed accurately in accordance with Service Agreements;
  • Attend and lead board meetings and business development meetings with potential clients, recognize situations where Citco’s services can be marketed;
  • Communicate and work effectively with clients, investors/shareholders and third party providers which may include auditors, tax agents, property managers and legal counsels;
  • Involvement with and supervision of other aspects of client work such as workload budgeting, business development, corporate legal, on-boarding of new clients, accounts receivables, KYC/compliance, invoicing etc;
  • Maintain, develop and expand business relationships with local and international clients and other business contacts and colleagues;
  • Ensuring and monitoring KPIs of account team members are met;
  • Monitor workload of account team members and adequately assess division of new and existing clients;
  • Training and coaching staff.

About You:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, business-related area and/or studying for a professional accounting qualification (i.e. CA, CPA or ACCA or equivalent).
  • With 6+ years’ experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Real Estate, Asset Management or Fund Administration.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or USGAAP.
  • Experienced in reviewing and preparing general ledger and financial statements.
  • Established knowledge in relation to accounting and consolidations under IFRS.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
  • Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines.
  • A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities.
  • Supervisory skills with experience in managing and/or leading staff for 4+ years.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Good client/business relationship management.
  • Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Yardi highly desirable (or other Real Estate system e.g. MRI).
  • Real estate fund administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree major in Law or a minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a company secretarial/legal managerial role, preferably with relevant exposure to tax driven structures;
  • Experience in handling corporate matters for Private Equity and Real Estate, Segregated Portfolio Companies structures, including Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), Management and Holding/Prop Companies, Listed and Non-Listed companies and Trust structures;
  • Affinity with accounting and relevant educational experience in reviewing financial statements and;
  • Team player;
  • Proven ability to multi-task while meeting challenging deadlines for multiple clients at a time;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong communications skills
