Job Description

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with 2–3+ years of experience to support functional testing activities for business‑critical applications. The role involves validating system functionality, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining high quality standards. Candidates with exposure to SQL and finance/economics domains are preferred.

What you will do:

• Perform manual functional, regression, and integration testing for applications.

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.

• Design and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.

• Validate data accuracy and business logic using SQL queries where required.

• Identify, document, and track defects through the defect lifecycle.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

• Ensure test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Support UAT activities and production validation when required.

Must Have Skills & Experience:

• 2–3+ years of experience in Manual Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and QA methodologies.
• Ability to write clear test cases and execute test scenarios effectively.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Background or exposure to Finance or Economics concepts.
• Experience testing data‑driven or business‑critical applications.
• Prior experience in regulated or domain‑heavy environments.
• Understanding of system workflows and backend validations.
• Willingness to learn domain concepts through structured training.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
